This weekend marks the beginning of breast cancer awareness month! Supporting the courageous fight against cancer is the NFL “A Crucial Catch” campaign. The NFL family is focused on raising awareness about the importance of annual screenings, especially in women aged 40 and older. Throughout the month of October the field will be highlighted with touches of pink apparel worn by players, coaches and referees, on-field pink ribbon stencils, special game balls and pink coins.
All pink apparel and game equipment will be auctioned off at NFL auction with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and its associated charities. Last year the NFL raised over a million dollars!
