On Sunday February 20, 2011 teams of basketball loving do-gooders gathered at Meadowvale Secondary School in Mississauga to raise money for on-going relief efforts in Haiti. This is the second year Hoops For Haiti has run, and the generous volunteers and participants are still committed to making change. The event started early on Sunday at 10 am with the basketball tournament as the main feature. Team thinkGood. stopped by to show our support and we grabbed some great pictures of the event. There were great games for spectators to watch, as well as a bake sale and raffle.
Congratulations to the teams and organizers for raising more than $5,500 for IDRF’s Haiti Project and to Team Gindy (Gurminder, Neil, Zack, Anthony and Bashir) the tournament winners .
