As we all begin to get our feet wet in the commencement of what I believe to be the year of happily ever afters, remember that we are our own authors of life’s fairytale endings. We choose the characters, the plot, the pictures and the villains. Every hero needs a great supporting cast for no one achieves greatness on their own, so choose wisely. Be grateful for the people who have helped you achieve your dreams, no matter how big a part you wrote them in your story. Be clear of what you are fighting for, and when you have figured it out, don’t stop until you can call it your own. Don’t live to create other people’s happily ever afters. You can play a supporting role, but don’t be their protagonist. Be your own dream come true, “for the Sandman has come from too far away for you to say come back some other day.” Luck is when opportunity meets preparation, so sharpen your sword, strap on your armour, and be prepared for the battle. For the battle is your history, and the dream will forever be your reality.
