What Adults Can Learn From Kids

Are we socialized out of compassion, out of love, and out of genuineness?  These are the ideas that have peeked my sense of interest as of late.  I witness on a daily basis the success and failures of human behaviour on a variety of levels.  As adults we learn to be competitive, heartless and thoughtless.  As adults are we setting ourselves up for a failed future?  Not only do I believe we are failing the children to whom learn and observe from us, but I feel that ultimately we are failing ourselves.

It kills me to participate in a society that uses lifestyle to guage our happiness instead of quality of life. I can only hope we continue to invest in our children.  The future lies in their hands, and I hope those hands never forget to dream, to be idealistic, excersize love, respect, responsibility and compassion.

Please take a minute to listen to what world famous child author Adora Svitak has to say about what adults can learn from children.
