Food Revolution!

Just think about it, that’s all we ask.  Many people get discouraged when it comes to taking the initiative in changing the way they eat.  At first I won’t lie so did I.  In order not to be overwhelmed by the daunting idea of not being able to enjoy those savoury snacks, high fat high caloric junk foods, or those tantilizing deserts, remember the key is to change the way you think.

If you think that vegetables taste gross, then guess what they will taste bad!  I use to think the same way.  Magically now I love brocolli, can’t get enough asparagus, and grilled zuchini is now delectable!

Here is a suggestion, start off by changing the ratio of good food versus bad food.  Instead of eating out everyday, try only five days a week, then three, then one.  It’s all about choices and increasing the ratio of thoughtful decisions versus mindless decision making.

Think of yourself like a luxury vehicle. You wouldn’t put unleaded gas in a luxury vehicle, because you are mindful of the fact it won’t run as well.  Then why do we do that to our bodies?  How well do you want your body to run?  Remember unlike cars we can’t purchase a new body, so take care of the one you were blessed with!

Great post! It is sooo true! I have been feeling under the weather lately and I think it is because of my eating habits. I usually skip breakfast and everyday I continue to go, go, go! I mean, I know it is important to eat breakfast, yet I don’t do it. However, after reading this post I will be making an effort to make more time for myself and choose the right foods to eat. I need to start getting the right vitamins and proper nutrition so my car won’t break down any more! :)
